Watts-Lay comments “Choosing the most suitable income option at retirement, is probably one of the biggest financial decisions anyone will ever make and a wrong decision could have devastating consequences to someone’s personal finances in retirement.
I believe the most recent figures show that half a million people will buy an annuity this year and of course annuities are not the only option. It is therefore important you consider all of your options such as; an annuity, income drawdown or a combination of both including phased retirement.”
